I thought I would show off what has been going on with me for the last 18 weeks. After struggling with infertility for two years, God blessed has us with a little one! I should say that the doctors never found anything that was preventing us from conceiving. Looking back, I know I was probably just impatient, I do not do well when waiting on God's timing for my life. I shouldn't be surprised at how perfect the timing for this baby has worked out, but I am. I'll be out of the Air Force just in time to move with my husband up to Whidbey Island, Washington in June. Some may wonder why Steve and I aren't currently living together, but that is another (long) post for another day.
The ultrasound was taken at 9 weeks, 2 days. The little heartbeat was thumping away and nothing could have made me happier at that moment (other than, perhaps, being able to share that moment with my husband). A few weeks after that, I attended my friend Renee's wedding. This was the very first sign of any baby bump at all (just a little over three months along). Two weeks later, I found myself needing to buy a maternity uniform for work. At first I found myself feeling like a giant windsock, but now I'm very comfortable in the new uniform. This last picture was taken just a few days ago. I am almost 19 weeks and feel like I really need the maternity clothes that my mom so generously bought for me six weeks ago.
I honestly feel huge sometimes. When I'm around other pregnant women my bump pales in comparison, but at 3:00 in the morning when I am trying to get comfortable, I feel like my belly is absolutely hanging off of me! I know that I do not yet know the meaning of huge, but it is really strange to have this baby inside of me, throwing me off balance and making me oof everytime I sit down or stand up.
Incidentally, last weekend I got to visit my husband and he loves the belly! I never thought I could feel so beautiful being so round!
Well, I hope to use this blog for a long time to come even after Baby Bremer is born. Hopefully I'll actually get some readership!
