More Moving In

After much consternation and strife, I now have internet in my new house. I found out that living in a "historic" home can present certain problems as far as what the cable guy is and is not willing to do in order to help me connect to the outside world. But now all is well and I am much happier finding where things are around town now that I have Yahoo Yellow Pages and Google Maps again.

I have been in this house two weeks as of tomorrow and it is still pretty much a mess. I got the kitchen unpacked and tidied (even got some curtains up, which makes me happy). However, in our last house Steve built some FABULOUS built-in bookshelves for all of our books.

So, when we moved, we took all our books and now we have no bookshelves. Just boxes and boxes of reading material. The movers stacked a bunch of the boxes in the middle of the living room and in my condition I can't really do much about them. Other things need to be moved around and rearranged, but the Belly is preventing me from doing a lot of that, too. So I am really excited for Steve to get here and help me get organized (although that's definitely not the only reason I'm excited about living with my husband again!).

In other news, I had my first doctor's appointment at the new hospital yesterday and I am officially in the last trimester! I know that I still have a long way to go, but it is so exciting and a little scary to only have three months left. Now is the time for childbirth classes and nursery preparations!

Here's a pic that I took just 15 minutes away from my house. I can't believe I live somewhere so beautiful!

Washingtonian

The trip was long, but mostly beautiful and very interesting.

Now we are here in Washington, and by the grace of God we were able to get into base housing right away and the movers are coming with our stuff tomorrow.

The house is really cute and deemed "historic" by the county. It has been unoccupied since March, so the yard and flower beds are definitely in need of some care. It will be cozy, but that's fine by me, if the trade off will be getting to stay home with the baby.

On the Move

Well this may be my last post for awhile. The movers are coming to pack up our stuff today, so no more computer until I get up to Washington.

Please pray for God's protection over us as we make the long drive (leaving on Saturday).
